THE MEASURE OF OUR DAYS

It is difficult to distinguish “People are living longer…” from “More people are living to the same age…” but these suggest very different biologies for senility. Is it just the accumulated effects of ‘good’ genes acting early in life (like lenses that keep growing); or is it specific ‘kill-off’ genes, like those which give us only two sets of teeth?
