PILLS, POPULATION AND PARADOX
“The Pill” should have reduced the number of unwanted pregnancies – but in fact the number went up when Pills were given out free.... There is a number of paradoxes in the way people integrate sex, relationships and babies. There is the problem that it is the most feckless that have the most unwanted children – but the most “feckful” also produce unwanted pregnancies. With the Western populations all reproducing at much less than replacement (2.2ish down to 1.3) the Moslem part of the culture will have overwhelming numbers in as short a time as twenty years... What to do about this, in prospect, is very difficult.... |
