THE ORIGINS OF LIFE

There are more than thirty good 'origin-of-life' stories, ranging from clay replication to coacervates to autocatalytic mesobiology to RNA replication, and there must be three hundred we haven’t thought of. This means that there are, without doubt, many routes from the inorganic to different organic worlds, at least on aqueous planets like Earth - and probably wherever there is free energy in heterogeneous systems.
