Embryology, and particularly the relation of embryology to evolution – “evo-devo” – is at the forefront of biological thinking at the moment. The successive changes during development are, of course, the ways in which genetics guides development. The various abnormalities – or the magic of normal development - are worth thinking about… and I show some time-lapse film sequences of animal development. |
